How to help – Nashville area disaster relief links

No, that’s not my friends house…thank God.  But one in his neck of the woods.   Papa T’s wife is sick (perhaps from wading in hip-high waters), and his boys are in high anxiety and he has got a lot of clean-up to do today.

From his text message last night:

MAJOR clean-up today. I’m beat. Y’all take care…hug each other…and count your blessings. Peace!

I remember our flood from 2008.  We narrowly escaped a major flooding in our subdivision. Some of our neighbors were not so lucky. But I don’t think there was any loss of life.

You can get updates from Nashville’s newspaper The Tennessean and even read the paper online for free. Major damage happened in Nashville and surrounding areas. There are 14 confirmed deaths and 6 more unconfirmed as of Monday night. The clean-up is going to be enormous.
