What to do if you get laid off.

Husband has been having some weird vibes at work this past couple of days. He has a real ominous feeling about it, so I decided to post some links about that subject.

Wish us luck. Mostly hubby because he’s looking pretty concerned.

    Hey there,

I was laid off in Sept.

    Going back to school…
    at 41!
Working online to supplement a bit, and just trying to live wisely (cheaply!)

Hoping for the best for you and hubby.

    TA –

Thanks so much. I actually have a renewed sense of peace about the whole thing. I’m looking forward to 2010 being full of changes that will ultimately benefit our family. I realize that we are definitely in need of a shake up around here, and this might be the thing to do it.

We haven’t had the kids for a few days and it has given us some time to talk about what we will do if he does get laid off and I think we have at least some options. We will weather this as we had his other lay-off about 8 years ago well. I think we have a better understanding of what we needs to happen if he doesn’t avoid the chopping block.

    Thanks for the well wishes.

I’m going to be 40 this year, and I still have going back to school in mind. So I might be right there with you.

Good luck with your educational goals. I wish you the best.

Take care and have a great 2010!!!

    Hi my daughter,
If hubby does get laid-off, the two of you will work together to find a solution. You have a strong marriage, and i believe a strong partnership as well as a strong friendship, with that combination, you can handle anything that comes along. You have been there before and came out just fine on the other side, you will again. My love and prayers are with you always.

Thanks Mom Gail. You are right…we do have all that going for us, so that if this should happen, we will figure something out.

J is doing what he can to be prepared for anything.

Thanks for the love and prayers.
